This course provides training grounded in the details of the Children Act, 2014 (formally Vulnerable Children Act, 2014), and the responsibilities that are associated with this. The course is tailored to an organisation’s own child protection policy and procedures, to ensure staff are aware of their obligations under both the law, and their organisation’s specific regulations.

What you’ll learn
Participants will gain the knowledge to understand their responsibilities in relation to the welfare of children and young persons aged under 18. This will enable them to identify possible at-risk situations and provide them with the tools and confidence to know what steps to take should they have concerns about a child or young person’s safety and/or well-being.
Who is it for?
Training should be provided to all employees who have a responsibility under the Children Act 2014, including the organisation’s designated person who has additional responsibilities.
