This one-day course is perfect for anyone working outdoors with flora and fauna. Run by Laurence Overton, a certified GROWSAFE trainer, you will discover how to properly handle, mix, and dispose of agrichemicals. Using practical simulations and active participation in classroom discussions, by the end of the day you will be able to safely use agrichemicals under supervision, as well as having a better understanding of product labels, hazard classification, and first aid emergencies.

What you'll learn
This course will teach you how to properly store, handle, mix, and dispose of potentially dangerous agrichemicals. From having a better understanding of product labels, through to how to handle a first aid emergency, you'll learn everything you need to be able to safely use agrichemicals under supervision. A GROWSAFE Basic Certification awaits you upon competition of a written and on-job practical assessment.
Outcomes
What you'll be able to do with this training
Upon completion of this course, you will attain an entry-level certificate, necessary for anyone new to agrichemical use or those doing pre-employment training. The certificate is valid for five years, and during that time, you will be able to safely use agrichemicals under supervision, with a firm understanding of chemicals, equipment, safety, and your responsibilities.
