Course Description
This course will take you through the Health and Safety responsibilities of workers in New Zealand. You will learn what is expected of you in a workplace, including what steps you are expected to take to ensure the safety of others. The course will also give you a comprehensive understanding of risk management, protective clothing and equipment, emergency procedures and your right to refuse unsafe work and be adequately trained for a job.

Through both theory and practical assessments, you will learn about the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and how it defines risks and hazards. You will understand and be able to describe legislative rights and responsibilities for workplace health and safety, as well as describe the systems approach to workplace Health and Safety.
