EAS ( Formally EASQ) Night Course – Electrical Appliance Serviceperson
Become Qualified to Service and Repair 230-Volt Appliances Safely and Legally
Description
Course Description
If your role involves repairing, servicing, maintaining, or testing electrical appliances, New Zealand legislation requires you to hold the appropriate registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB).
This programme provides the knowledge and practical skills required to safely maintain and service single-phase 230-volt electrical appliances and prepare for registration as an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS) with Disconnect and Reconnect endorsement.
Prerequisites
Important – EWRB EW Number Required
All new electrical trainees must create an online profile with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) and obtain an EW Number before attending training.
To apply, visit:
Your EW Number will be provided to the tutor so that your assessments and training results can be recorded against your EWRB profile.
Please note: An EW Number is not an electrical registration number and does not authorise you to carry out electrical work independently in New Zealand. It is used for training and assessment purposes only initially until you make your official application for electrical worker license.
