Electrical Inspection – Practical Assessment is an EWRB-approved course for registered electricians and engineers. It involves a 3-day block course of practical revision and practical assessment in the week before you sit the EWRB theory exam for EWRB Electrical Inspector registration, and is designed to have you fully prepared for that exam.

This course helps prepare you to sit the EWRB Electrical Inspector exam. By delivering the practical assessment component only, it allows you more easily combine study with your existing work obligations.

The paper that makes up this course, TE25640 Inspection and Certify Electrical Work, is also transferable to the Advanced Trade Qualification (Level 5).

Prerequisites
To apply to become an Electrical Inspector, you must have been registered as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer, or held the status of Qualified Engineer under the Electricity Act 1992, for three years or more. However, many students complete this course early in their careers and apply for registration later.
You should also have access to Act, Regulation, Standards, Codes of Practice as detailed by the EWRB. (There are currently about 11).
